The Skipper - Jody McNeil
Having been around the sea and boats all his life, Jody has worked as a fisherman for over 15 years. Working on boats during school holidays and weekends he attended Fraserburgh Fishing College at the age of 15 and achieved runner-up student for his year. He has worked on both offshore and inshore boats (including time working on trawlers in New Zealand) and has skippered a boat for over 10 years. During his years at sea, Jody has been privileged to witness extensive sea life in its natural environment and it is this and the amazing scenery that he wants to share with you on your North West cruise.
The Boat - the Portia of Poole
Built by the well known Cygnus marine in 2000, Portia of Poole is a Cygnus Cyclone 30. She has top speeds of 20 knots and a cruise speed of 15 knots getting you to the grounds quickly and safely. Licensed for 11 people plus the skipper, Portia is equipped with the most modern electronic equipment including olex3d seabed mapping for underwater surveys and fish finding.
